Sandra Inman Mashburn

Sandra Inman Mashburn, 78, of Wake Forest, NC formerly of Marietta, GA, passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon, July 13, 2022 in Raleigh, NC. She was born in Urbana, IL to the Late Edgar Inman, Jr. and Juanita Ruth Goodwin Inman.

After traveling the world growing up in a military family Mrs. Mashburn moved to Atlanta and lived with her grandmother, Loretta Inman until meeting and marrying David Mashburn. Sandra and David married at Peachtree Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) on July 20, 1969; the date that mankind first stepped on the Moon. They later settled in Marietta, GA where they raised their family.  She was employed with Butler Shoe Corporation as an Administrative Assistant for many years and later was an auditor for Lifeway Christian Resources.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11 o’clock, Monday morning, July 18, 2022 at Hope Lutheran Church in Wake Forest, NC.

Mrs. Mashburn is survived by her husband of 52 years, David Mashburn; sons, Jason Mashburn & wife Erin of Richmond, VA and Matthew Mashburn & wife Emily of Wake Forest, NC; grandchildren, Lucas, Hank and Eleanor Mashburn; sisters, Ginny Inman of Omaha, NE, Becky Beason of Des Moines, IA and Nancy Inman of Omaha, NE; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Inman.
