​Roy “BooBoo” Carpenter

Roy Gene “BooBoo” Carpenter, 50, of Youngsville, passed away Monday, June 12, 2017 at his home. Mr. Carpenter was born in Wake County to the late Sam Carpenter and Ronnie Mae Hailey Carpenter and was the owner/operator of RC Roofing & Repair Contractor.

A funeral service was held at 1 o’clock, Thursday, June 15, 2017 at New Life Church, 6900 Zebulon Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587. Burial followed in the Wake Forest Cemetery.

Mr. Carpenter is survived by his wife of 33 years, Cynthia Schoenbrod “Cindy” Carpenter; Children, Kristy Marie Smith & husband Carroll of Youngsville, Michael Scott Carpenter & wife Christy of Clayton, Brian Matthew Carpenter & wife Angela Champion of Youngsville and Roy Gene “Junior” Carpenter, Jr. & wife Jamie of Youngsville; grandchildren, Shawn, Haley, Dylan, Trevor, Scott, Connor, Kaitlyn, Taylor, Allison, and Madison; siblings, William “Snoot” Carpenter and wife, Jewel, Carolyn Lee, Sam “Buck” Carpenter and wife, Annette, Barbara Ann Tant and husband, Curtis, Deborah Kay Sherron and husband, Jimmy, Jimmy Charles Carpenter, Ricky Carpenter and wife, Karen, Mary Jane Carpenter, Kenneth Carpenter, Rose Marie Hockaday; many nieces, nephews and special friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Gene “Old F#@$%*!” Perry. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tabitha Dawn Carpenter and a daughter-in-law, Kelly Ann Carpenter; siblings, Betty Mae Gibson, Brenda Fay Davis and Marvin Carpenter.
