Bruce Waylon Hunter, 33, of Oxford, passed away August 31, 2017. He was born in Vance County to the late Bobby Hunter and Linda Stainback Hunter. Bruce was a Veteran of the United States Army and was very proud of his service to his country. He was a gifted artist and also had a love for skate boarding and physical fitness. Bruce was quiet and reserved but had a great sense of humor with an infectious laugh that would make everyone smile and laugh with him. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday afternoon, September 13, 2017, at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens, Wake Forest, NC. Friends may visit with the family immediately following the service.
Bruce is survived by his daughter, Eileia Hunter of Henderson; sister, Beverly Hunter of Clayton; niece, Atlanta Steagall of Clayton; paternal half-brothers Bobby Hunter of New Market, TN and Dwayne Hunter of Carolina Shores; nephew, Matthew Hunter of New Market, TN; maternal aunt, Brenda Wilson of Henderson; maternal uncle J.W. Stainback of Cary; extended family and friends.
