Dennis Robert McKiernan, 78, of Franklinton, formerly of Foresthill CA, passed away July 26th, 2018. He was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late James Patrick McKiernan and Dorothy Kruger McKiernan.
Mr. McKiernan was a retired Landscape Superintendent from San Jose Evergreen Community College District and the City of San Jose. As a Landscape Superintendent, he was passionate about his work, horticulture, design and had a special love for Azaleas. He has inspired a love for plants in all those he came in contact with and his legacy will live on in all of his garden designs and in all of the beautiful plants, especially azaleas he has propagated over the years.
Private services were held at a later date.
Mr. McKiernan is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary O’Mara McKiernan; 7 children (Dennis, Christopher, Julie, Phillip, Laura, Timothy and Sean), 18 grandchildren (Dennis, Spencer, Aisling, Kailee, Danielle, Steven, Kellie, Joseph, Matthew, Haley, Eimile, Jason, Mark, Maya, Aiden, Abigail, Amelia, and Juliette), and five brothers (James, Thomas, Michael, William and Christopher).
He was preceded in death by his two sisters (Susan and Patricia), and his son Mark.
