Dorothy Jean Waite Obituary

Dorothy Jean Waite, 91, of Raleigh, passed away April 12, 2018, at Brookdale North Raleigh. She was born in Monmouth, IL to the late John Brent and Lois Galbreath Brent. Mrs. Waite had a successful career with McDonnell Douglas and continued that career with The Boeing Company after the 1997 merger and retired after over 35 years of service. She had a love for children and was active with the youth ministry at Trinity Lutheran Church in Long Beach, California before moving to Raleigh. Dorothy's pastime was reading. She read thousands of books in her lifetime and also supported many charities who benefited greatly from her compassion and generosity.

Private services will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Waite is survived by her special friends, Corrine Olsen & John Podszus of Wake Forest; nieces, Jayne Soares, Lynn Maronne, Debbie Bobo, Lisa Owen, Linda Seydewitz, June Johnson and Linda Brent; nephews, Michael Brent and Carl Marseille.

Mrs. Waite was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Waite.
