Sandra Kay Conely, 74, of Zebulon, passed away from a short battle with leukemia Saturday evening, January 20, 2018. She was born in Shiawassee County, Michigan to the late Harvey Cottenham and Merece Nichols Cottenham.
Mrs. Conely loved crocheting baby blankets and counseling people about our Lord and Savior. This love was often seen while attending church at Goldsboro Worship Center and where she was also a member of the choir for several years. Sandra worked at Siemens in Lizard Lick for 7 years and is also where she retired from. Mrs. Conely loved her children and grandchildren very much.
Funeral services were held at 3 o’clock, Tuesday afternoon, January 24, 2018 at Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Wake Forest Cemetery.
Mrs. Conely is survived by her children, Michael “Mike” Briggs of Goldsboro, Richard “Rick” Briggs & fiancé Rosie, Catherine Clifton & husband Bobby of Zebulon and Amy Browning & husband Rondall of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Ashley Briggs, Jeffery Briggs, Lindsay Briggs, Zachary Clifton & wife Tiffany, Sarah Clifton, Robbie Browning & wife Kaelyn and Nicholas Browning; great-grandchildren, Kaylee & Raelyn Tyndall, Luke Briggs and Karli & Robert Browning; brother, John Cottenham of Gladwin, MI. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joann Cottenham.
