Alida Kathleen Parker, 63, of Wake Forest, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, March 5, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Roanoke, Virginia to the late Alfred Julian Stupalsky and Patricia Bradley Stupalsky on April 28, 1957.
Kathleen had a Bachelor of Science at NC State in 1979 with a certificate in Computer Programming. She was a Support Manager for The McClatchy Company for many years and had recently retired. Outside of her family, she had passions for animals, flowers and music. She was a member of the Cary Town Band, where she shared her love for music and later passed this gift to her children. Kathleen leaves a large void and will be greatly missed.
A celebration of Kathleen’s life will be held at 2 o’clock, Tuesday, March 9, 2021 in the Garden of Renewal at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens, 770 Stadium Drive, Wake Forest, NC 27587. Due to current COVID concerns we are limiting the funeral to immediate family members only. For those wishing to pay respects, there will be an outdoor reception after the funeral at the Parker residence.
Kathleen is survived by her husband of 36 years, Kim Parker; daughters, Natalie Joy Parker & fiancé John McKeever of Winston-Salem and Melinda Kay Parker & husband Tim Clement of Wilson; stepsons, Michael Roger Parker of Villa Ridge, MO and Benjamin Thomas Parker & wife Nina of Apex; step-grandchildren, Emily & Maximus Parker; sisters, Mary Ann Lewis of Raleigh, Helen Stern & husband Bob of Charlotte and Judy Harrell & husband Tommy of Raleigh; brother, Joseph Stupalsky & wife Jill of Raleigh; niece & nephews, Meredith Lewis of Durham, Michael Lewis & wife Andrea Fenoglio of Weaverville, Cameron Harrell of Raleigh, Elliott Harrell of Raleigh and William Stupalsky of Raleigh; extended family and friends.
