Charles Edward Baker, 85, went home to be with the Lord, Friday night, February 7, 2025. He was the son of the late Myrtle and Julius Baker. His loving wife of 65 years, Alice Honeycutt Baker, preceded him in death.
Charles had a lifelong faith in the Lord and shared that faith with others through mission trips, ministry work and singing. He was a member of Clyde's Chapel Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir and being involved with the Baptist Men.
He is survived by his daughter Sharon (Tony,); son Craig; grandchildren, Carmen (Jordan), Paige (Kevin), Clarissa (Angel) and Cody; great-grandchildren, Emmett, Minna, Nolan, Reed, Cole and Vera; sister, Judie Smith and brother, Wayne Hill.
He was also preceded in death by brothers, Ray, Johnny and James; sisters, Lossie Pearl "Pete" and Wanda Gail.

Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock, Wednesday afternoon, February 12, 2025 at Clyde's Chapel Baptist Church with military honors. A private burial will be held at Central Baptist Church Cemetery, Poole Road, Wendell, NC.
