Charles Wesley Medlin, 78, of Youngsville, passed away on Monday morning, July 7, 2025, at Louisburg Healthcare & Rehabilitation.
Born and raised in Franklin County, Charles was the son of the late Larry and Amie Griffin Medlin. A hard-working and dedicated man, he spent over 40 years as a truck driver, eventually retiring from Walmart after many miles on the open road.
In his younger years, Charles had a passion for speed and style, particularly his beloved Pontiac GTOs and other classic cars that turned heads wherever he went. When he wasn’t driving for work or pleasure, he found joy in simple escapes—especially trips to the beach, where he enjoyed relaxing and spending time with close friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11 o'clock, Friday morning, July 11, 2025 at Peach Tree Baptist Church Cemetery, 3523 NC-581, Spring Hope, NC 27582.
Charles is survived by his loving sisters; Irene Medlin Dillard & husband Norman of Wake Forest, Phyllis Medlin Dickerson of Franklinton, Marie Medlin Young & husband Mike of Louisburg and Connie Medlin Arnold & husband Donald Ray of Louisburg; sister-in-law, Donna Medlin of Youngsville, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Douglas Medlin.
Arrangements by Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home, 1051 Durham Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587.
