Clarence R. "Bucky" Hinnant

Clarence Rex "Bucky" Hinnant, 78, of Wendell, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 3HC Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. He was born in Wake County on February 2, 1946, to the late Rex and Rella Hinnant.

Mr. Hinnant dedicated 44 years of his life to Rockwell International company, working in quality assurance. He remained steadfast through name changes, demonstrating loyalty until his well-deserved retirement.

Renowned for his knack for building anything, Bucky's true passions lay in rabbit hunting and golf. Yet, nothing surpassed the profound love he held for his cherished family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 o'clock, Wednesday morning, March 6, 2024, at Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home. Friends may visit with the family immediately following the service.

Mr. Hinnant is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Juanita Thomas Hinnant; his sons, Clint Hinnant & wife Wanda of Youngsville and Ben Hinnant & wife Tina of Clayton; grandchildren, Russell Hinnant & wife Brittaney of Creedmoor, Julia Hinnant of Youngsville, Jesse Hinnant of Youngsville, Mary Margaret Hinnant of Clayton and Amelia Hinnant of Clayton; great-granddaughter Callie Jean Hinnant; sister, Lynda Hinnant of Cary, and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Chase Hinnant, and his brother, Terry Hinnant.
