Dennis Fuller Leonard

Dennis Fuller Leonard 77, of Wendell, passed away, Thursday evening, June 3, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in the Falls Community of Wake Forest to the late Ollie Fuller Leonard and Elizabeth Barham Leonard. Mr. Leonard was a veteran of the United States Army. Not only was he faithful to his country but he was faithful to his family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening, June 5, 2021 at the home and following the graveside funeral service that will be held at 3 o’clock, Sunday afternoon, June 6, 2021 at the Falls Community Cemetery.

Mr. Leonard is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sandra Jeffreys Leonard; children, Patches Kaye Morris of Saint Petersburg, FL and Robert E. Hopkins, Sr. of Zebulon; grandchildren, Paisley Maddox of Saint Petersburg, FL, Robert E. Hopkins, Jr. & wife Alicia of Wendell and Tammy Barrientos & husband Rico of Maryland; great-grandchildren, Nova Rain Hopkins of Wendell, Christian Medlin of Zebulon, Abigail Barrientos and Julian Barrientos both of Maryland; sister, Vicky Aldridge & husband John of Wake Forest; special cousins, Linwood Barham & wife Barbara of Wake Forest, Jerry Carter & wife Janet of Rocky Mount and Tink Thomas & wife Dona of Raleigh; many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
