Dennis Lynn Moore Obituary

Dennis Lynn Moore, 73, of Raleigh, passed away on November 10, 2020. Dennis was born to Karl Thredgold Moore and Shirley Bjerke Moore in Ogden, Utah, April 18, 1947. He attended Ben Lohman High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Weber State University where he met his wife, Faye, and they were married in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on June 3, 1971. They have lived in Kaysville, Utah; St. Charles, Missouri; and settled in the Raleigh, North Carolina area. Dennis has served in various callings in his church, but his favorite was always Sunday School Teacher. He enjoyed gospel study and discussion and being with his family. He was constantly in the service of others as he provided counseling, guidance, love, and compassion to everyone around him. Dennis served as a temple worker in the Raleigh LDS Temple and served a two-year mission in Austria for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He founded and ran The Woodmoor Group, a successful computer software company, for over 15 years.

Preceding Dennis in death is his wife, Faye Wood Moore, his father Karl Thredgold Moore, his mother Shirley Bjerke Moore, his father-in-law Kenneth Wood, and his mother-in-law Jennette Parker Wood. Dennis leaves behind his four children, Jennifer Laws, Brett (Heather) Moore, Trisha Moore, Scott (Kim) Moore, and 15 grandchildren: Dallin, McKell, Carter, and Chandler Laws; Chase, Brooklyn, Austin, Kaden, and Savannah Moore; Tristan and Jessica Bailey; Landon Parrish; and Kelsey, Allyson, and Ryan Moore. He is survived by his eight siblings: Tamra (Brent) Ellis, Randy (Emma) Moore, JaNelle Garner, Gregg (Denise) Moore, Brad (Patti) Moore, Melanie (Boomer) Benson, Danene (Russ) Polson, and Stacy (Glen) Paskett.

Funeral services will be held in Wake Forest on Monday, November 16 at 11:00am. Due to COVID restrictions, attendance at the funeral will be limited to 99 people and will be by invitation only.
