Erlene Edge Norman, 87, of Youngsville, passed away on Sunday morning, September 10, 2023 at Franklin Manor. She was born in Montgomery County, Georgia to the late Steven Edge & Pinkie Brinson Edge.
Erlene lived in Mobile Alabama the majority of her adult life. She met her beloved husband whom she was married to for over 55 years. She was a mother, a grandmother, a great-grandmother, and a great-great-great-grandmother. Erlene was a hard worker in the Real Estate business. She spent many years and long hours working to give her family a better life. In her downtime, she loved to sew. She also loved to garden when she was younger. Her grandchildren were her world. She doted on them every chance she could. She loved shopping at the military base. Erlene was a sensible woman who knew what she wanted and knew what it took to get it. She was an avid reader of books and articles. Erlene was very loved by her family, friends, and all who knew her. She will be missed, but not forgotten.
A graveside service was held at 11 o’clock, Monday morning, September 18, 2023 at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Norman is survived by her children, Pam Langham of Mobile, AL, Patricia Lynn Brown of Wilson, NC, Linda Gail Spencer & husband Steve of Florida and Stephanie Raper & husband Chris of Youngsville, NC; grandchildren, Christopher Fenton, Elessa Carroll, Bridget Morgan, Chrissy Coulter, Tammy Nichole Potter and Dennis Russell Goddard, Jr.; four great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchild; extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her three sisters.
