Faye Holmes VanPutte
Obituary
Faye Holmes VanPutte, 86, of Wake Forest passed away, Tuesday evening, August 29, 2023 at Duke Raleigh Hospital. She was born in Wake County, North Carolina to the late Eric Haywood Holmes and Henrietta Smith Holmes.
Mrs. VanPutte graduated from Millbrook High School and was a beautician for many years. She owned her own shop for many years and even continued to work years after retiring. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and will be greatly missed by not only her family but the many lives she touched.
A memorial service was held at 11 o’clock, Wednesday morning, September 6, 2023 at Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home. A private burial was held at a later date at the Falls Community Cemetery.
Mrs. VanPutte is survived by her children, Curtis McConnell(Cynthia Paschall) and Angela McConnell Wolfe all of Wake Forest; grandson, Zachary Wood of the USAF currently stationed in England; sister, Betty Joan Barham of Raleigh; nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald VanPutte; siblings, Donald Holmes and Mary Etta Lassiter.
