Faye Moody Perry

Faye Moody Perry, 77, of Wake Forest, passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. She was born in Wake County on September 27, 1947, to the late Pearl Lewis Moody and Tessie Mae Combs Moody.

Faye was a dedicated educator and a loving mother. After the birth of her daughter, Tyler, Faye made the selfless decision to step away from her teaching career to devote herself fully to her family, building a warm and loving home alongside her husband, Jimmy. She was known for her nurturing spirit and deep devotion to her family. In recent years, Faye returned to her passion for teaching as a substitute, leaving a lasting impact on many young lives. Faye's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Faye Perry was a dedicated and skilled golfer, earning the title of a scratch golfer over years. Among her many accomplishments, one of her proudest moments was winning a tournament at Wakefield, showcasing her exceptional talent and competitive spirit. 

She was a kind soul, always thinking of others, and her legacy will be cherished by all who had the privilege to know her.

Faye is survived by her beloved daughter, Tyler Whitley (Wayne) of Hampstead; grandchildren, Madison and Walker McFadyen; step-granddaughter Tylor Whitley; and her siblings, Luann Moody Parmelee (Bill) of West Palm Beach, FL, Edward Moody (India) of Wake Forest and Scott Moody (Harriett) of Raleigh; nieces and nephews, Chris Moody of Raleigh, Carla Moody Lee (Dustin) of Princeton, Bradley and Mary Beth Moody of Raleigh; great nephews, Josiah and Ethan Lee of Princeton. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Albert Perry, Jr.

A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
