Frances Spivey Buffaloe

 Frances Spivey Buffaloe, 85, of Raleigh, passed away Tuesday morning, April 6, 2021 at WakeMed. She was born in Fuquay-Varina on July 22, 1935 to the late Luther Thomas Spivey and Mazel Pleasant Spivey. Mrs. Buffaloe worked at Charles Department Store and after high school went to work with Carolina Power & Light from 1953-1962. She left CP&L to help her husband operate the family business Buffaloe & Company Builders, Inc. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and will be greatly missed.

 Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening, April 13, 2021 at Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home. Due to COVID-19, face coverings and social distancing are requested.

 Mrs. Buffaloe is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Buffaloe Lauria & husband, Wade of Louisburg; grandchildren, Thomas A. Lauria of Louisburg and Hannah A. Barbour of Raleigh; brother, Phillip Wayne King of Raleigh; sister, Barbara S. Moore of Raleigh; many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Alan Buffaloe and her daughter, Vicky Jean Barbour.
