George Marvin Cripple, 80, of Wake Forest, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at the William M. Dunlap Center for Caring. Born on February 9, 1944, in Asco, West Virginia, George was the son of the late William and Clara Fairbanks Cripple.
A devoted veteran of the United States Marines, George took immense pride in his service to his country. Following his military career, he channeled his dedication into his work in the automotive industry, where he achieved the role of Union Representative. His advocacy for workers and his commitment to fairness were hallmarks of his professional life.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock, Friday afternoon, August 16, 2024 at Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.
George is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Teklinsky Cripple; his children, Mary Candy Sanborn (Ross) of New Mexico, Damian Coon (Lynn) of Wake Forest, David Coon (Shira) of Michigan, and Michael Coon of Wake Forest. He is also survived by his grandchildren, George, Ian, Zach, Mckenzie, Breezy, Haley, Noyes, and David, Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Kane and Jensen. George is remembered fondly by his siblings, Susie Flinchum of Kentucky, Donna Issacsen of Iowa, and Billy Cripple of Ohio, as well as extended family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lynda Marie Cripple, and his siblings, Sam Cripple, Marty Cripple, Paul David Cripple and Barbara Caudill.
