Gerald Theodore Frunzi

Gerald T. “Jerry” Frunzi, 71, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026, surrounded by his family, who honored his wishes and never left his side.

Born on February 25, 1955, in Belleville, New Jersey, Jerry spent his childhood there before later raising his own family in Howell, New Jersey. Later in life, he moved to North Carolina, where he built a loving home with his wife, Maria (Priscilla), and embraced the opportunity to help raise her children and grandchildren as his own.

Jerry was a man of quiet strength, unwavering loyalty, and remarkable common sense. Throughout a long career in the printing industry, he became a respected teacher and mentor to countless colleagues. He believed in hard work, personal responsibility, and taking pride in a job well done. To many who worked alongside him, he was not only a coworker but a trusted guide and friend.

To his family, Jerry was the person who always had the right advice at the right time. Whenever math homework became frustrating or life felt complicated, he would remind his children that, “Numbers are your friend.” It was a simple phrase that reflected his practical wisdom and steady approach to life. He was financially responsible, dependable, and the kind of person who took care of the things and people entrusted to him.

Jerry loved life’s simple pleasures. He was an excellent cook and was especially known for making the best Sunday gravy. He appreciated good food but believed in enjoying everything in moderation. Every morning began with a carefully made cappuccino. He enjoyed photography, working on his car, roller coasters, water slides, and spending time with the people he loved. Some of his family’s favorite memories are of Jerry stretched out on the floor, watching movies and simply enjoying being together.

One of Jerry’s greatest gifts was his ability to welcome people. He was endlessly supportive of his children’s spouses and made each member of the family feel accepted, respected, and loved. His kindness, patience, and generosity helped shape not only his children but also the many people fortunate enough to become part of his extended family.

Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Maria (Priscilla); his children, Johnathan Frunzi, Jessica Roesch, Jesse Ramirez, and Kimberly Ramirez; his cherished grandchildren, Aiden, Mason, Enzo, Nico, Adonis, and Messiah; and his sister, Carol.

A special place in Jerry’s story belongs to his daughter, Jessica, whose devotion never wavered. Through every challenge, she remained faithfully by his side, providing comfort, strength, and love. The bond they shared was a gift to them both and an example to everyone who witnessed it.

Though his family is heartbroken by his loss, they find comfort in a life well lived—a life defined by loyalty, integrity, love, laughter, and devotion to family. Jerry’s lessons, example, and memory will remain with all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Clancy Strickland Wheeler in Wake Forest, North Carolina. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Jerry’s life, share memories, and honor the lasting impact he had on all who knew him.
