Gloria Patricia Miller

Gloria Patricia Miller, 97, of Wake Forest, passed away Tuesday morning, November 3, 2020 at her home. She was born in Kennett Square, PA to the late Charles Barone and  Batista "Bessy" Matera Barone..

Gloria lived an incredible life devoted to her faith and family. She loved spending time with her family especially her great-grandchildren, playing cards with her friends, puzzling, and crocheting. She enjoyed a 25-year career with Abraham & Strauss department store and loved shopping with her discount. Gloria was always smiling and loved to laugh over a glass of wine. She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother "Gigi", sister and aunt and will be greatly missed. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 o’clock, Friday morning, November 6, 2020 at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 600 West Holding Avenue, Wake Forest, NC. Inurnment will take place in the church memorial garden.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her children, Rosemarie Sommer & husband Michael of Wake Forest and Mark James Miller of Middle Island, NY; grandchildren, Michelle Rypkema & husband Chad of Wake Forest, Jennifer Thompson & husband Brett of Wake Forest and Danielle Joyce & husband Sean of Virginia; great-grandchildren, Ava Rypkema, Dylan Rypkema, Lillian Thompson and Brett Thompson, Jr. and a brother, Carl Barone & wife June of Stewart Manor, NY. She was preceded in death by her husband John Paul Miller; sisters, Jeanette Crocker and Anita Gillis, daughter Marlene Ellis, and granddaughter Marianne Ellis.
