Hayden William Rogers

Hayden William Rogers, 16, of Wake Forest, passed away, Thursday, August 26, 2021 at his home.
Hayden was born in Rockford Illinois on September 12, 2004 the second child of Jason William Rogers and Tara Renee Hollenbeck Rogers. He participated in soccer, track and other various sports and was a Junior at Wake Forest High School.  

Hayden was personable, outgoing, caring and always a joy to be around.  He had a contagious way of making people laugh whether it was through cracking witty jokes or just being himself.  He was a sports fanatic, especially football, going to games and playing in the family Fantasy Football League where he won in our first season.  Hayden loved skiing, camping and playing basketball with friends and family.  He also enjoyed gaming and playing Xbox on-line and socializing with his friends.  He loved animals and adored cuddling and playing with his dogs Millie and Brutus.  He enjoyed visiting his sister and hanging out with her friends at App State and hiking in the mountains. Hayden's most fond moments were taking trips to visit with family and life-long friends, and going to the beach.  

Hayden, you will be greatly missed by all and our memories of you will last forever.  

Along with his parents, Hayden is survived by his sister, Hailey Marie Rogers of Columbus, GA; grandparents, Dennis & Lori Hollenbeck of Youngsville, NC; aunts & uncles, Jeremy & Kim Rogers of Surprise, AZ and Tonya & Jeff Graf of Stoddard, WI; great-aunts & great-uncles, Wayne & Leigh Erickson of Belvidere, IL, Nolan Rogers of Rockford, IL and Gene Rogers of Rockford, IL, Charlotte Rogers of Rockford, IL, Carolyn & Chris Burton of Reno, NV, Bonnie & Harry Shird of Waukesha, WI; Al & Vicki Hollenbeck of Nixa, MO, cousins, Alexis Rogers, Logan Rogers, Devin Graf, Andie Ward, Keenan Ward, Lori Myers and Susan Swanberg, Kris Hollenbeck, Gennie Hollenbeck Strain, Johanna Burton, Laura Burbie, Andy Shird; extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cathy Marie Clark and Rick Rogers.

Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday evening, September 1st, 2021 at Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1051 Durham Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587. The family will have a private memorial service to honor Hayden’s life.
