Howard (Howie) Rogers the 3rd.(71), son of the late Marguerite & Howard Burbage Rogers 2nd was born April 14th, 1953 in Raleigh, NC passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on October 20th, 2024.
He studied Horticulture at NC State University and became an avid Wolfpack supporter and fan. At an early age, he became a successful fisherman. He loved bass fishing and was even posted in the NC Fish Finder Magazine. Howie went on to become a successful and sought-after upholsterer for over 30 years.
After many years of waiting, he married the love of his life, Eunice, on May 3rd, 2003 at his best friend Jim's house at his pond. When he was not fishing or doing upholstery, he could be seen in his garden. He loved spending time in his garden and taking care of his yard. He had a deep love for all types of music. Capital City Church of God made a large impact on his life and he loved his church family.
Whether he was watching football or basketball, his best friends, Jim, Tim & Lewis were always by his side.
He is survived by his loving wife Eunice Rogers; Sister; Kathi (Lew) Deturk. Children; Robbin(Dana) Shuree(Mike), Faith, Charity. Grandchildren; Brandon, Ashley(J Michael), Corrie (Travis), Laith, Destiny (Brandon) & Logan. The apple of his eye till the very end was his great-granddaughter, Riley Darnell, who he loved very much. He was loved by many nieces & nephews including; Shelle, Devin, Dana, Hunter, Olivia & Grayson.
Howie was loved by so many and will never be forgotten. He was sure to brighten anyone's day with his bright smile and his sweet laugh. He always gave with his whole heart and was so proud of his family and all that they accomplished.
Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon, November 3, 2024 at Capital City Church of God, followed by the memorial service at 3:00 p.m.
