Iris Sue Wallace Foster, 84, of Louisburg, passed away Friday evening, August 16, 2024 at WakeMed Hospital. She was born on June 28, 1940 in Johnston County to the late Frank and Ethell Wallace.
Iris was energetic and always ready to GO (didn’t matter where). She also had a passion for cooking and loved sharing meals with family and friends. Her grandkids will tell you, she had the best fried chicken and homemade biscuits. In the past few years, she enjoyed playing cards with her buddies at Huntington Springs. She was the life of the party.
Mrs. Foster is survived by her daughters, Jenice Martin & husband Neil of Louisburg and Tammy Storms & husband Jerry of North Myrtle Beach, SC; daughter-in-law, Tammy Ausburger of Fremont; grandchildren, Jordan Martin & wife Danielle, Jason Martin & wife Olivia, Charity Martin, Patrick Pearce, Kristen Quinn & husband Mike and Dalton Johnson; great-grandchildren, Samuel, Connor, Caroline, Abby, Bowen, Austin, Lexi and Levi; step-daughters,Terry Johnson & husband Johnny and Billie Wiley; step-grandchildren, Dustin, Tyler, Logan, Jillian, Brooke and Jake; 11 step-great-grandchildren; extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Foster; son, Welton Pearce; brothers, Curt Wallace and Phil Wallace.

A celebration of Mrs. Foster’s life will be held at 3 o’clock, Tuesday afternoon, August 20, 2024 followed by a time to visit with the family at Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home, 1051 Durham Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587. (919-556-7400)
