James Franklin Beasley

James Franklin Beasley, 81, of Castalia, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at his home.

 Born in Cumberland County on September 22, 1943, to the late William Caro Beasley, Sr., and Rosalie Mitchell Beasley. He was preceded in death by his brother, WC Beasley Jr.

Mr. Beasley proudly served his country in the United States Navy on the USS Mullinnix DD-944 as a machinist mate. He enjoyed fishing, telling people about Jesus and spending time with family and friends. 

A graveside service will be held at 10 o'clock on Saturday morning, December 14, 2024, at the Family Cemetery in Castalia.

Mr. Beasley is survived by his loving wife, Linda Beasley; daughters, Lynn Cash and Tammy Heredia (spouse Paul); son, Chris Beasley; grandchildren, David, Danielle, Brandi, Anthony, and Michael; great-grandchildren, Baylee, Eli, Brian, Abel, Amara, and Paisley; sister, Nettie Hair and Libby Jones (Eddie); as well as extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to His Word Upon My Heart Ministries, Inc.
