James "Hubert" Jenks

James “Hubert” Jenks, 79, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus surrounded by his family on Wednesday, October 18th, 2023 in Raleigh, NC.  He was born on October 30th, 1943 in Wake Forest, NC.  He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Hubert worked in the Fluid Power industry for numerous years, having faithfully served different companies. To say that Hubert will be missed is an understatement.  He possessed so many inspiring qualities, loved his Lord and Savior and devoted his life to teaching those around him about Jesus.  Hubert never met a stranger and always had a good joke or two up his sleeve.  He adored his family especially his wife Polly of 49 years; his son, Arnie Jenks; his daughter, Nicole Moore & husband Scott; the light of his life…his two grandchildren, Emmy and Cole Moore who called him “Pop Pop”.  To know Hubert was to know a faithful friend. He was a devoted member, deacon, and Sunday school teacher at Falls Baptist Church for over 40 years.  His love for Jesus was something to be admired and he has now met his Lord and Savior face to face. 

 Hubert is also survived by his sister, Sylvia Bigham & husband Kenneth; his nephew, Ronald Jenks who was like a brother & his wife Pat Jenks and numerous beloved nieces and nephews that he adored. He was preceded in death by his father, Vandoris Jenks and mother, Ethel Harrison and stepfather Jake Harrison; brothers, Demp Jenks & wife Bette, Max Jenks & wife Kathryn, Marvin Jenks and Harold Jenks: sisters, Margie King and Katherine Jenks.

Friends and family were invited to attend the services to pay their respects and celebrate Hubert’s life.
