Jessica Pfister was born on July 31, 1990 in Camp Pendleton, CA. She passed away suddenly at home, in the arms of her mother, and entered into rest on April 23, 2025, in Wake Forest, North Carolina, at the age of 34.
Jessica grew up in Lompoc, California, spent part of her teenage years in Pennsylvania, and later returned to California before moving to North Carolina.
She completed her Associate of Science degree in Child Development at Victor Valley College and recently earned her CNA license in North Carolina — a reflection of her passion for caring for others. Jessica was on the path to becoming an X-ray Technician, a career she was excited to pursue.
Jessica was one of five siblings and shared a close and loving bond with her family. She was known for her kindness, her giving heart, and her ability to light up the lives of everyone around her.
Jessica loved to read and could often be found playing late into the night on her PlayStation. She had a special love for musicals, especially Wicked. Her favorite shows included Community, 9-1-1, and One Piece, and she was a huge fan of movies like The Lord of the Rings and Star Wars.
One of her favorite places to eat was Rockin’ Rolls Sushi — she loved the fun of having her food delivered on a conveyor belt.
She will be remembered for her warm heart, gentle spirit, and the love she showed to everyone around her. Jessica’s memory will be forever cherished by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
Jessica lived boldly, with a fearless heart and a generous spirit. As she would often say,
“I live with no apologies.”
Her memory will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved by her family, friends and all who know her.
May you rest in peace, Jessica. We will love and miss you deeply.
Jessica is survived by her mom and stepfather, Stacy and David Knox of Wake Forest; her father and stepmother, Larry and Neelam Pfister of Highland, CA; siblings, Daniel Pfister & wife Sabrina of Pembroke Pines, FL, Courtnie Thomas & husband Timothy of Dayton, NV, Timothy Pfister of Wake Forest, and Lacy and Jesus Murillo of San Bernardino, CA; grandparents, Lawrence G. Pfister, Sr. & wife Donna of Hartsville, TN, and Ruby Bush of Pearl River, LA; nieces and nephew, Lily & Stanley Thomas, Gabriel Murillo, and Riley & Emma Pfister; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.
A memorial service to celebrate Jessica’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home: 1051 Durham Rd, Wake Forest, NC 27587.
Celebration of life to follow 2:00 p.m. at The Knox home: 1141 Foothills Trail, Wake Forest, NC 27587.
