Julian Chachula Sr., 90, of Havana, Cuba, passed away on August 27, 2023, in Raleigh, NC. He was born on February 14, 1933. Julian is survived by his loving daughter Giselle, son Julian Jr., daughter-in-law Denise, and grandson Ben. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rose Gonzalez Chachula.
Julian had a successful career as a craftsman of surgical instruments, dedicating 31 years to perfecting his craft. After retiring, he continued to contribute to his community by working as a Spanish Language Interpreter at Wake Med for 11 years.
Outside of work, Julian had a passion for woodworking, furniture restoration, and gardening. He took great pride in caring for the family's poodles, Poopie, Lola, and Cookie, who brought him immense joy.
In memory of Julian, contributions can be made to the Sierra Club, The Humane Society or ASPCA, organizations that were close to his heart.
Julian Chachula Sr. will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His legacy will live on through his dedication to his craft, love for his family, and his commitment to helping others.
The family held a private service in the Garden of Renewal at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens, Wake Forest, North Carolina.
