Keri Boness Pease

Keri Boness Pease, 46, of Apex, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025. Keri’s faith has made her well, and she is now lying in the arms of her loving Savior, Jesus Christ. 
 Keri was born in Lake Forest, Illinois, and moved to Wake Forest in the 1980s. A passionate and driven individual, she earned her MBA from East Carolina University and dedicated years to the banking industry. Keri served as a bank manager in the Triangle area, working with prominent institutions such as Wachovia, Wells Fargo, First National, and Fifth Third Banks. Most recently, she transitioned into the eye care sector, contributing her talents to EssilorLuxottica.

 Whether snow skiing, engaging in water sports, hiking, or simply relaxing at the beach, she relished every moment. But above all, Keri’s greatest joy came from her children. She was a devoted mother to her son, Vance, and daughter, Sadie. Her love and pride for them were boundless, and she could often be found cheering from the sidelines—watching Sadie cheer or Vance play baseball.

Keri is survived by her children, Vance and Sadie Pease of Apex; her parents, Darrell and Jackie Boness of Wake Forest; her former husband, Marty Pease of Apex; sisters, Kristin Firewicz & husband David of Fork Union, VA, Kimberly Boness of Wake Forest, and Kelci Smithmeyer & husband Colby of Harvest, AL; niece, Harper Smithmeyer; nephews, Daniel Firewicz, Grayson Boness, and Cole Smithmeyer; extended family and countless friends..

A celebration of Keri’s life will be held at 2 o’clock on Monday afternoon, October 20, 2025, at The Sutherland, 13371 Wake Union Church Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587. Friends are invited to visit with the family immediately following the service.
