Lance B. Grether

Lance B. Grether, 72, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday morning, February 10, 2024, after living with Lewy Body Dementia for 14 years.  Born in Seven Hills, Ohio to the late Amelia Woznuk Grether and Arnott Grether – Lance was a lifelong hard worker, Ohio State fan and Jeeper.  

An Ohio State Accounting graduate, Lance’s hard work ethic started long before college in his family’s landscaping business that he helped lead through his college years.  After college, Lance worked in accounting and IT/SAP at Glidden Durkee, Dow Chemical and then became a Sr. Executive at Accenture and Deloitte.  Lance leaves behind a legacy of love for his family, integrity, hard work ethic, and a heart of overflowing thankfulness. 

Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

Lance is survived by his wife of 42 years, Gigi (Regina) McMahon Grether; sons Eric Grether and wife Danielle, Adam Grether and wife Anne, Curt Grether and wife Lauren, Michael Grether and wife Jaimi, Bryon Cipriani and daughter Niccole Cipriani; siblings Craig Grether and wife Kathy and Stacey Kubyn and husband Russell; and grandchildren Emily, Lauren, Gwen, Ethan, Allison, Aiden, Christian, Lillian, Elizabeth, Weston, and Victoria.
