Linda Jean Jones Hunter

Linda Jean Jones Hunter, 75, of Rolesville, passed away, Sunday November 22, 2020 at her home. She was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Jessie Jones and Ruby Ann Inscore Jones.

 Taking care of people came naturally for Mrs. Hunter. She spent many years taking care of children in her home, later nannied in other homes and once her grandchildren started arriving, she focused on taking care of them. She was a mother to many whether she offered a comforting ear or an understanding voice she was there to help anyone that needed it. Her presence will be greatly missed not only by her family but by everyone she touched.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 o’clock, Wednesday afternoon, November 25, 2020 at Sunset Gardens in Henderson. Friends may visit with the family immediately following the graveside service.

Mrs. Hunter is survived by daughters, Angie Hunter Gupton & husband, Jeff, of Raleigh and Sherry Hunter Jones & husband, Jason, of Louisburg; grandchildren, Brooke & Grant Gupton and James, Emma, Sarah & Edey Jones; sisters, Eva Pleasants and her husband, Jimmy and Janie DaSilva. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Vernon Hunter(2014) and sisters, Elma O’Neal(1968) Lenora Mangum(2013).
