Lorrie Jackson Simmons

Lorrie Ann Jackson Simmons, 60, of Franklinton, passed away on Sunday morning, February 4, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 14, 1963, in Staunton, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl Roy Simmons and her father Ronald "Ron" Jackson.

Lorrie's world revolved around her family, and nothing brought her greater joy than being with her grandchildren. Her warm presence and unconditional love created a haven for her loved ones, and her absence will be deeply felt.

 Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2024 at Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

Lorrie is survived by her loving children, Nick Nance (Gretta) of Wake Forest and Christy Nance (Matthew Meschino) of Austin, TX; mother, Joan Tessier Jackson; grandchildren, Ty Handley, Addison Nance, Van Handley, Tenley Nance, and Cooper Simmons; sisters, Janet Yates of Zebulon and Judy Weller (Mike) of Raleigh, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
