Lt Col Angela M. Dingbaum, US Army, Ret.

Lt Col Angela Maria Dingbaum, US Army, Ret., 76, of Wake Forest, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Hillside Nursing & Rehabilitation, Wake Forest, NC.  Lt Col Dingbaum was born in Camden, NJ and attended Camden Catholic High School and received her Nursing Degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing in Philadelphia, PA where she cultivated friendships that lasted her lifetime in addition to fulfilling her dream of becoming a Nurse. She completed her BSN(Regis University) and MSN(Tulane University) degrees in Nursing. After military assignments in Japan, Korea, Germany, and throughout the United States Lt Col Dingbaum retired as a Lieutenant Colonel and went on to work as a Community Health Nurse in Augusta, GA. After retiring from her civilian duties, she and her husband retired to Hilton Head, SC where she enjoyed tennis, social gatherings and establishing more friends before moving to Wake Forest, NC.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 o’clock, Tuesday morning, September 21, 2021 at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 600 West Holding Avenue, Wake Forest, NC. Inurnment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

Lt Col Dingbaum is survived by her husband of 54 years, Lt Col Herbert Dingbaum US Army, Ret.; children, Dawn Karlovich of Jacksonville, FL and Jay Dingbaum & wife Sonia of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Liam, Logan, and Lourdes Karlovich, Marco Cisneros, Vincent and Stefan Dingbaum; sister, Gloria Cook; brother, Vincent Fulginiti & wife Eviene; extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Fulginiti and Josephine Simone Fulginiti.
