Marguerite "Peggy" Susanne Anderson

Marguerite “Peggy” Susanne Anderson, 80, formerly of Wilmington, NC peacefully left this earth on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Hillside Nursing Home and Rehab in Wake Forest, NC. Peggy was the first of five children born to Marguerite and Thomas McCarthy in the Bronx, New York on January 4, 1941. After graduating from Cathedral High School in New York City, she worked as a secretary at Nabisco Corporation before marrying her husband Ed in 1961. She was a loving wife and mother, spending all her energy raising their two daughters in creating a warm and welcoming home filled with parties and friends. Peggy excelled in creating magic in the kitchen with her culinary skills. In her later years, she began Lily Cachet, LLC where she handcrafted beautiful fascinators which were purchased for weddings, garden parties and Sunday church. She is predeceased by her parents; sister, Elizabeth McCarthy; brother, Thomas McCarthy and her husband, Edward in 2019.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, sisters; Patricia Henchy and Carol Crimmins both of Evans, Georgia; daughters Susan Kluever and husband Ronald of Wake Forest, NC and Cara Lisa Esposito and husband Michael of Wilmington, NC and grandsons; Christopher Kluever, Thomas Esposito and Chase Kluever, all whom she loved beyond measure. She will be greatly missed.

The family is deeply indebted to the staff at Hillside Nursing and Rehab for the care and love they showed her while she lived there.

 A celebration of her life will be held at 11 o’clock, Friday morning, April 30, 2021 at Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home, Wake Forest, NC. (919)556-7400
