Marilyn Crum Obituary

Marilyn Joan Crum, 82, of Raleigh, NC, formerly of Cliffwood Lake, Vernon Township, NJ, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, January 7, 2021.  She was born in Paterson, NJ, to the late Nicholas and Sadie VanTol.

Mrs. Crum was a graduate from Eastside High School in Paterson, NJ, and after years of staying at home with her children, returned to school to become a dental assistant. She continued in that position for the next thirty-five years. She loved to sing and was a member of various church choirs through the years and proudly performed with the female acapella group, Harmony in Motion of Sussex County. She also enjoyed bowling, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family. She moved to Raleigh, NC in 2018 and was most recently living in Falls River Village.

Mrs. Crum was predeceased by her husband William H. Crum in 2018. She is survived by her children, Beverly Kelly and her husband Thomas of Sidney Center, NY, Glenn Crum and his wife Rhonda of Raleigh, NC, and William B. Crum and his wife Donna; grandchildren Jason Everett and his wife Lauren, Kyle Everett and his wife Danielle, Samantha, Rachel, Kelcey, Dylan, Spencer, and Levi; great-grandson Reid; brother-in-law Douglas Crum and his wife Faye of Stuart, Florida; sister-in-law, Reida Richards of Willingboro, NJ; and a host of extended family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held in New Jersey at a later time.
