Mark Franklin Evrard, 74, of Oxford, passed away peacefully after a long illness at his home on Sunday morning, February 16, 2025. He was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, to the late Franklin and Luella Schwab Evrard.
Mark pursued his education at North Carolina State University, where he earned degrees in Business and Accounting. He built a successful career with Apex Tool Group, serving as Director of International Accounting. After 22 years of dedicated service, he retired due to health challenges.
Mark found great joy in the outdoors, whether bird-watching, fishing, or riding his motorcycle. His love for God and for nature and adventure brought him peace and happiness throughout his life.
He is survived by his best friend and beloved wife of 28 years, Jacqueline Marie Evrard; children, Lincoln Evrard of Wendell; Christina Lanier (Jermaine Daniels) of Durham, Jakob Breunig (Zipporah) of Bloomington, Indiana, Hamilton Evrard (Ashley) of Rapid City, South Dakota, and grandchildren, Mina & Haddie Breunig and Liam & Kaleigh Evrard; brother, David Evrard (Doreen) of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; niece, Jill Novosel (Steven) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; nephew, Daniel Evrard (Helene Seydoux) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; as well as extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock, Monday morning, February 24, 2025, at Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Garden of Renewal at Pine Forest Memorial Garden.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Doctors Without Borders (donate.doctorswithoutborders.org) and the North Carolina Food Bank (foodbankcenc.org).
The family wishes to thank the staff of Duke Hospice for their care during the last few weeks of Mark's life.
