Mary Bordwell

Mary Bordwell, 87, of Wake Forest, passed away Thursday morning, June 11, 2020. She was born in Schenectady, New York to the late Erasimo Tarrielo and Rosalia Cappuccio Tarrielo. She worked as an Executive Secretary for GE, Raytheon and after 14 years with IBM retired.

Mary was a special woman who loved the Lord and loved people. She never met a stranger and made lifelong friends wherever she lived. She had a love of Collies and even spent some time breeding and showing them. She had a love for sailing and spent most weekends off the coast in Plymouth with her family. After retiring and moving to Greenville, SC, she spent her time serving at her beloved Shannon Forest Presbyterian Church and working in interior design, her other love. In 2003 she moved to Wake Forest where she enjoyed her time with family, working in her yard, reading, and sharing her love through baking. She will be greatly missed. 

A graveside service will be held at 11 o’clock, Monday morning, June 15, 2020 at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens, Wake Forest, NC.

Mrs. Bordwell is survived by her children, Richard “Dick” Bordwell & wife Donna of Ocean Isle Beach; Susan Blankenship & husband Arnold of Zebulon; sixteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth H. Bordwell; daughter, Karen Aucoin; four brothers and one sister.
