Mary Ashlyn Wilkins

Mary Ashlyn Wilkins, age 19, of Wake Forest, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday morning, June 26, 2024 in Carteret County. She was born in Raleigh on April 11, 2005.

Ashlyn graduated from Wakefield High School Class of 2023, where she was a member of the dance team all four years. Following high school, she pursued her passion for business management at UNC Chapel Hill. Ashlyn will be remembered fondly for her vibrant spirit, love for her family and love for dance. She touched the lives of many with her kindness and enthusiasm, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

A celebration of Ashlyn's life will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Monday afternoon, July 1, 2024, at The Sutherland, 13371 Wake Union Church Rd, Wake Forest, NC 27587. 

The family has requested that everyone wear bright colors in honor of Ashlyn. No black or gray please. 

She is survived by her parents, Christopher and Lara Fyfe Wilkins; brothers, Caden Wilkins and Carter Wilkins; grandparents, Maynard & Marsha Wilkins, Sharyn Rigsbee, and Mary Jo Fyfe; uncles, Chad Wilkins; and Brad Fyfe & wife Liz; cousins, Evan, Kyle, and Liza Fyfe. Ashlyn was preceded in death by her grandfather, William "Bill" Fyfe, and uncle Shane Wilkins.
