Mary Nina Stone, 78, of Wake Forest, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, August 16, 2024. Born on April 8, 1946, in Clifton Springs, New York, Mary was the daughter of the late Roswell and Evelyn Ingraham Swart.
Mary's life was marked by her deep love and appreciation for animals, family and her unwavering spirit. She is survived by her beloved parakeet, Susie; sons, Paul Harding of Salem, South Carolina, Robbie Harding of Atlanta, Georgia, and Adelbert Tyman; daughter, Loretta Tyman, and her spouse Julie Glyn Weathers of Youngsville; grandson, Ryan; and sister, Jennie Ann Swart Castle of Sumter, South Carolina; as well as extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Douglas, Richard, and Kenny Swart.
In keeping with her wishes, Mary chose to donate her body to science, hoping to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and to help others. At this time, no services will be held.
