Michael "Mike" Raymond Miller

Michael Raymond "Mike" Miller, 56, of Wake Forest, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey. Born on December 23, 1967, in Union Township, New Jersey, Mike was the beloved son of the late Raymond and Patricia Trembley Miller.

Mike was the proud owner and operator of Ruff Cuts Pet Spa in Youngsville,  he devoted over 20 years to grooming pets with unparalleled care and compassion. He had a unique gift for connecting with all types of animals, a gentleness that endeared him to clients and their pets alike. His love for animals was only surpassed by his deep love for his family.

Mike was a dedicated family man, often found cheering on his daughter, Emily, from the sidelines during her many volleyball tournaments. His encouragement and support were constants in her life. In addition to his passion for pets, Mike had a lifelong love for cars, particularly Jeeps and Mustangs, and enjoyed participating in several car clubs over the years. Mike's gentle spirit, love for his family, and care for animals will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Michele Raven Miller, and his cherished daughter, Emily Grace Miller; sisters, Colleen McGreevy and her husband Peter of Mattituck, NY, and Marianne Miller of Jacksonville, NC; nephews, Gavin McGreevy of Mattituck, NY, and Patrick Miller of Jacksonville, NC; his beloved dog, Moe; and a host of extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to assist Emily with her future college expenses at State Employees Credit Union account number 64500000.

A time for remembrance and visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday evening, October 2, 2024 at Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home. A Mass will be held at a later date.
