Michelle Lasorso Hodgdon, 72, of Wake Forest, formerly of Miami, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at UNC Hospital. She was born in Manhattan, New York, on January 11, 1953, to the late Michael and Angelina Cangro Lasorso.
In her younger years, Michelle was a champion roller skater who found great joy in the sport. It was while figure skating that she met the love of her life, Thomas Hodgdon. The two shared a beautiful bond that grew into 41 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and partnership.
Michelle also enjoyed bowling and later developed a passion for needlework. She loved keeping her hands busy and took pride in every creation. Above all, her greatest joy came from her family, whom she cherished deeply. Her love, warmth, and devotion were felt by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Thomas Hodgdon; her children, Caren Fried (Martin) of Wake Forest, Paul Hodgdon (Kate) of San Antonio, Texas, and Brenda Hodgdon of Miami, Florida; and her beloved grandchildren, Morgan Fried (Madi) of Raleigh, Dylan Fried (Caitlin) of Greensboro, Cydne Hodgdon of Tampa Bay, Florida and Lara Hodgdon of San Antonio, Texas.
