Mihail Papadimitriou 92, most recently of Wake Forest, North Carolina passed away on June, 25th 2022.
Mike was born May 22, 1930, to George and Christina in Ambelakiotisa, Greece. He moved to Athens, Greece in his late teens and apprenticed as a shoemaker.
In 1967, with the sponsorship of his Uncle James, and assistance from Senator “Scoop” Jackson, he emigrated to the US with a job waiting for him at the Buffalo Shoe Company of Seattle. In the early 70’s Uncle James passed ownership of People’s Shoe Repair to Mike, and he remained in business until 2020.
Mike was a long-time resident of Everett, Washington who loved his American hometown. He was proud to be an American citizen and had never met a stranger.
Mike was predeceased by his wife, Dona Papadimitriou, and his brothers and sisters who remained in Greece. He is survived by his daughter Nikki, son-in-law Matt, and grandchildren Olivia and Mihail.
