Nathan Christopher “Nate” Blackwell, 41, of Franklinton, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025, following injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Nate was born on July 12, 1983, in Cumberland County, North Carolina. As the CEO and president of NCB Diesel Off-Road in Youngsville, Nate was known for his relentless pursuit of excellence and his innovative spirit. His work reflected his dedication and passion for the automotive service industry.
When not focused on building his business, Nate lived life to the fullest through his love for deep-sea fishing, shooting sports, and off-road racing. A competitor in the prestigious King of the Hammers off-road race, Nate also excelled in rock racing having participated in the Pro Rock Racing Series. He was a man of great joy, often found sharing laughter, good advice, and meaningful conversations with those around him. Nate’s vibrant personality, zest for life, and unwavering love for family and friends will be remembered always.
Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2025 at Faith Harvest Church, followed by the funeral service at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens, Wake Forest.
Nate is survived by his beloved mother, Martha Lewis(Marcel Comtois) of Wake Forest; siblings, Ben Blackwell and fiancée Jen of Raleigh, Cale Lewis and wife Christy of Wilmington, and Tommy Lewis II of North Palm Beach, Florida; step-mother, Deborah Blackwell of Lewisburg KY. He will also be deeply missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and the countless friends who were a part of his life over the years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Francis Gerald “Jerry” Blackwell Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Harvest Church 4737 Willeva Dr, Wake Forest, NC, 27587, to honor Nate’s memory and continue his legacy of positivity and generosity.
