Pamela L. (Harris) Harrell. 75, passed away on December 23, 2023. Pam was born in Topeka, Kansas, to Merrill Harris, and Marion (Garlock) Harris on January 4, 1948. Growing up in Topeka, she was an active member of Job’s Daughters. She was also a Girl Scout Life Member and received her Gold Award. Pam was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority at the University of Kansas where she received her degree in Pharmacy. While attending KU, Pam met and married her husband Warren.
Following graduation, Pam began her career as a pharmacist. Pam and Warren welcomed two daughters (Stacy and Robin) while living in Hendersonville, TN. As the family moved from Hendersonville to Youngstown, NY and finally to Raleigh, NC Pam and Warren supported their daughters through their academic and athletic endeavors. Throughout her adult life, Pam was involved in the community in a number of ways including as a Girl Scout leader and Church Council member. She also enjoyed watching Warren play softball through the years, and serving as the team manager for multiple teams. Pam was a proud grandmother in her later years, enjoying spending time with her grandchildren making crafts, baking and supporting their interests and activities.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents, and younger sister Wendy, and her husband Warren. She is survived by her siblings Terri (Harris) and Rod May of Albuquerque, NM; Heidi (Harris) and Mark Zlab of Urbandale, Iowa and Randy and Cathy Harris of Lincoln, Nebraska; as well as her children Stacy (Harrell) and Russ Sirois of Richmond, VA and Robin (Harrell) and Andrew Queen of Blacksburg, VA and grandchildren Clara and Louisa Sirois, William Sans, and Isabel and Ian Queen.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Hope Lutheran Church, 3525 Rogers Rd, Wake Forest, NC 27587.
