Peter Francis "Pete" Zeph, 61, of Raleigh, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, October 27, 2024. Born on November 13, 1962, in North Adams, Massachusetts to the late Jules E. Zeph, Jr., and Carol Taylor Zeph. He began his journey in Williamstown and Needham, Massachusetts and later relocated to Dunedin, Florida with his family. Pete later graduated from the University of Florida, a proud Gator.
Pete moved to Washington DC where he worked as an Account Executive for Mega Advertising where he met his future wife Jill. Pete also worked in Washington DC at a speaker's bureau in the National Press Building. Together they built a life centered on family, settling in Raleigh in 1995 where they lovingly raised their three sons. Pete was a devoted father and his greatest happiness was being a dad. Pete enjoyed cheering on their sons at their sports games, school events and spending time with them. He loved to cook, play golf and watch movies.
Pete was also known for his infectious sense of humor and quick wit that kept everyone smiling and on their toes. He carried forward a family legacy as an Eagle Scout, a title he wore with pride and dedication. Pete most recently served as an Area Manager with T-Roc.
A celebration remembering Pete's life will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home.
Pete is survived by his three sons, Ian Zeph of Wilmington, Jack Zeph of Raleigh, and Xander Zeph of Raleigh; his former wife and friend, Jill Buchanan of Wake Forest; his beloved siblings, Cathy Zeph of Palm Harbor, Florida, Paul Zeph & wife Ellen of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, Greg Zeph & wife Melissa of Cary, Maura Zeph of Oldsmar, Florida, and David Zeph & wife Tammy of Clearwater, Florida; his devoted canine companion, Wall-E; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.
