Richard Ransom O’Neal

Richard Ransom O’Neal, 81, of Creedmoor, died Saturday morning, April 17, 2021 at The Durham VA Medical Center. He was born in Granville County to the late Edwin Ransom O’Neal and Mamie Inez Ross O’Neal. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Morton O’Neal; a sister, Louise Keith and brothers, Hal O’Neal and Freddie O’Neal.

A private burial was held Monday afternoon, April 19, 2021 at Mary’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. O’Neal is survived by his daughter, Marlene Hufford and husband, J.R. of Creedmoor; sons, Travis O’Neal and wife, Christy and Sean O’Neal both of Creedmoor; grandchildren, Tyler & Caden O’Neal; brothers, and sisters, Winston “Wink” O’Neal, Ella Grey Richard, Shirley Wilkerson, Sue Williams and Patsy Douglass.
