Ruth Hall Daniel

Ruth Hall Daniel, 91 of Wake Forest, passed away peacefully on Saturday afternoon, May 09, 2026, at Cadence Living at Wake Forest, Senior Living, surrounded by her loving family and an amazing staff.

She was the eldest child born of Bennie Corbet Hall and Ruby White Hall, of Wake Forest, on November 04, 1934. Ruth was born and raised on a tobacco farm in Wake County. She attended Rolesville High School for all 12 years and graduated in 1952. In 1953, Ruth married Richard E. Daniel, of Granville County. They were married for 63 years, until his passing in 2016.

Ruth was a loving mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and good friend.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Ruth was predeceased by her younger brother, Bennie Hall of Durham, as well as seven aunts and five uncles.

She is survived by her sons, Richard E. Daniel, Jr. (Cindy) of Raleigh, NC and Allan Daniel (Ella) of Diamondhead, MS; grandchildren, Dustin Daniel (Megan), Alyssa New (Derek), Kal Daniel (Ashley), Halli Chaney (Jonathan); siblings, Linda Barham, Franklin Hall (Sarah), and Charles Hall (Carolyn). She also leaves behind 5 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family also recognizes and thanks Ruth’s best friend, Stella Darden, for over 40 years of friendship.

Just out of High School, Ruth began her professional career at Nationwide of Raleigh, NC. After ten years there, she gained employment with Shrader-Bellows of Wake Forest.  Subsequently, Ruth left the public sector to co-manage and operate her and Richard Sr.’s growing independent grocery store, Community Grocery, located on US Hwy 401, near Wake Crossroads.

In 1979, Ruth returned to the public sector, taking a position in materials processing and distribution at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. She retired from that position in 2008, with almost 30 years of service.

The family will be blessed by dear friend, Reverend, Dr. Randy Bridges, who will officiate a graveside service at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. The family will entertain friends in the Oak Grove Church Fellowship Hall immediately following the graveside service.

In addition, the family gives special recognition and appreciation to Cadence Living at Wake Forest, Senior Living and Cardinal Hospice for providing loving care and comfort to Ruth.
