Vu‑Frank Toan Trinh Obituary

Vu‑Frank Toan Trinh, 50, of Wake Forest, North Carolina, passed away after a long battle with diabetes on June 14, 2026, entering into eternal rest in the Lord’s care.

Frank was born in Gainesville, Florida, to Tan Trinh and Thanh Van La. In his early adult years, he devoted himself to youth ministry for the Diocese of Raleigh, sharing his faith and his generous spirit with young people and their families. He later built a career in human resources, where he excelled in talent acquisition and used his exceptional people skills to connect with and support others.

Throughout 13 years of living with diabetes, Frank remained steadfast in nurturing relationships and staying connected with friends and loved ones. He had a deep love for animals and delighted in dining out and savoring well‑prepared dishes. He also loved reading and listening to audiobooks, as well as spending time catching up with friends and family.

Frank is survived by his mother, Thanh Van La, and his father, Tan Trinh; his sister, Ai‑Dung Taylor, and brother‑in‑law, Joshua Taylor, and their sons, James and Joseph Taylor; and his sister, Ai‑Vy Riniker, and brother‑in‑law, Steven Riniker, and their children, Jonah, Evelyn, and Anastasia Riniker. He will be dearly missed by his family and all who were blessed to know him.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on June 22, 2026, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Wake Forest, North Carolina. The family gratefully thanks all who have offered prayers and support. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
