Zoey Devonne York

Zoey Devonne York, 25, of Raleigh, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 20, 2021, while visiting Staten Island, NY. Zoey was born in Providence, RI. She was raised in San Diego, CA as well as Wake Forest, NC where she attended high school at Franklin Academy. Zoey was a loving mom, sister, daughter, and granddaughter. Zoey pursued her passion for artistic beauty by working as a hairstylist and make-up artist. She was loved by many and easily made friends wherever she went. She will be remembered for the love she had for her family as well as her determined spirit. Her infectious smile and fierce tenacity will be missed by those who knew her well.

Zoey is survived by her son Kayden, of Fayetteville, her mother, Tanya Neuman of Raleigh; her father, Monty York and his wife Vanessa of Raleigh; Grandmother Nancy Kelley of Wake Forest; Grandmother Casey DeBrask of Santa Ysabel, CA; 5 siblings: Monty York of Garner, Promise York, Hannah York, Grace & Noah Neuman of Raleigh and Aleera Harris of Raleigh; her former step-dad Bill Neuman also of Raleigh, as well as other loving aunts and uncles, cousins, close friends Kayla Haopshy and Jessica Jones, along with many others.

Zoey’s family invites you to join them for a visitation on Wednesday, September 29th from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1051 Durham Rd. Wake Forest, NC 27587. The family will also have a celebration of her life on Thursday, September 30th at 10 am at Hope Lutheran Church, 3525 Rogers Rd. Wake Forest, NC 27587 with graveside service immediately following at the Pine Forest Memorial Gardens, 770 Stadium Dr. Wake Forest, NC 27587.
